Germany’s Quantum Systems hits ‘triple unicorn’ status with €180M Series C extension: Know more
Quantum Systems, a Germany-based aerial data intelligence company, recently secured an impressive €180M in a Series C extension round. This funding has been led by Balderton Capital, a multistage venture firm investing across the technology sector. With this new funding, Quantum Systems now holds a valuation above €3B, signaling its accelerated growth and potential. This latest fundraising follows the €160M Series C round closed in May 2025, bringing Quantum Systems’ total capital raised this year to a formidable €340M. The combination of these funds positions this raise as the most substantial private capital raise in Europe’s dual-use sector for 2025.
General Partner at Balderton Capital, Rana Yared, expressed excitement for the partnership with Quantum Systems, emphasizing the critical role of European innovation amid growing geopolitical instability and shifting security priorities. She praised the Quantum Systems team for its technical excellence, operational discipline, and ambition, key traits that demonstrate their potential to lead in their category globally.
Capital Utilisation
The funds obtained by Quantum Systems are set to back the company’s expansion across air, land, and maritime domains. A key part of this expansion involves advancing work on AI, software, and hardware systems, all of which are connected through Quantum Systems’ mission platform, MOSAIC UXS. Since their first Series C round in May 2025, Quantum Systems has successfully completed the acquisitions of AirRobot, Nordic Unmanned, and Spleenlab. The additional funding will further support transactions aimed at broadening the company’s multi-domain portfolio.
Co-CEO and co-founder of Quantum Systems, Florian Seibel, expressed pride in achieving “triple unicorn status,” attributing this milestone to their team’s ability to build systems and a company that performs exceptionally under demanding real-world conditions. The company now plans to accelerate its development of hardware, software, and AI to emerge as the definitive leader in multi-domain unmanned systems. Co-CEO Sven Kruck echoed these sentiments, stating their ambition to build a powerhouse of intelligent unmanned systems and accelerate global growth across multiple domains.
