TechCrunch Disrupt 2026: Celebrating the Startup Battlefield 200 Cohort
This year, TechCrunch Disrupt showcased the incredible talent and groundbreaking ideas of our 2026 Startup Battlefield 200 cohort. Out of thousands of applications worldwide, 200 of the most promising startups were carefully selected, each bringing innovative solutions across a wide spectrum of industries.
The competition reached its peak during a dynamic three-day event, where these visionary startups pitched live and demonstrated their cutting-edge technologies to an audience of investors, industry experts, and peers. This platform not only offered exposure but also fostered connections critical to the growth and success of emerging companies.
Top Finalists and Award Winners
From the initial 200, the TechCrunch editorial team identified the top 20 finalists, narrowing the field to the top five companies who competed for the prestigious $100,000 equity-free prize and the coveted Disrupt Cup. The grand prize was awarded to Intero Biosystems, a company revolutionizing drug testing by using mini human intestines instead of animal models—a significant leap in biotechnology that promises more ethical and accurate pharmaceutical testing. Close behind was the runner-up, Apate, which employs AI agents undercover to detect and gather intelligence on fraud, addressing a critical need in cybersecurity and fraud prevention.

Spirit of Disrupt Award: Shogher Atanesyan and Ardook Data
The Spirit of Disrupt award was unanimously presented to Shogher Atanesyan, founder and CEO of Ardook Data. Her inspiring journey began as a volunteer at Disrupt 2023, evolving into a proactive advocate who successfully petitioned for “Social Impact” to become a stand-alone category in the Event App. Atanesyan’s startup collects real-world household training data via a paid caregiver network, providing valuable datasets to AI and robotics companies aiming to improve physical AI applications.
Beyond her startup, Atanesyan’s selflessness shone through her extensive support for fellow founders: organizing student volunteers to assist startups at the event, managing logistics to reduce costs, hosting community gatherings, and offering continuous guidance through Discord and weekly calls. Her leadership embodies the collaborative spirit fundamental to the Startup Battlefield 200 experience.
The Startup Battlefield is more than a competition; it is a thriving ecosystem that connects entrepreneurs with investors, customers, and peers, fostering relationships that fuel innovation and growth. As we celebrate the remarkable achievements of this year’s cohort, we eagerly anticipate the transformative impact these startups will have on their industries in the months and years ahead.
