Daytona Platforms Secures $60 Million Series B to Revolutionize Agent Cloud Infrastructure

Daytona Platforms, a New York-based startup specializing in cloud infrastructure for long-running agents, announced on Friday that it has closed a $60 million Series B funding round. This latest investment, led by FirstMark Growth, values the company at $1 billion, marking Daytona’s official entry into the unicorn club. With this round, the startup’s total funding has reached $91 million.

Backing from Industry Titans and Venture Leaders

FirstMark Growth, which previously led Daytona’s $24 million Series A round in February, continues to demonstrate strong confidence in the company’s vision. The Series B round also attracted notable angel investors who are influential figures in the tech ecosystem. Among them are Patrick Collison, CEO of Stripe; Tobi Lütke, CEO of Shopify; Aravind Srinivas of Perplexity; Eric Yuan, founder and CEO of Zoom; Olivier Pomel of Datadog; Adam D’Angelo, CEO of Quora and OpenAI board member; and Brendan Foody of Mercor. Corporate venture arms such as Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next, and Okta Ventures further participated, underscoring broad institutional support.

Building the Next-Generation Cloud for Agents

Founded just three years ago, Daytona Platforms is addressing a critical gap in cloud infrastructure tailored for “long-running agents.” Unlike traditional cloud services designed primarily for persistent, stable workloads, agents operate differently: they execute thousands of short-lived, stateful jobs that often arise spontaneously. Founder Ivan Burazin emphasized in a blog post announcing the new round that current cloud architectures are ill-suited to these dynamic, unpredictable tasks.

Daytona’s solution is to provide each agent with a dedicated “computer” in the cloud, granting them sandboxed environments across multiple operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS, as well as GPU resources and other services on a single, unified platform. This approach aims to deliver scalable, secure, and flexible infrastructure that meets the emerging needs of AI-driven agents and other complex applications.

With its innovative platform and strong backing from leading investors and industry experts, Daytona Platforms is well-positioned to redefine cloud computing for the next generation of autonomous agents.
